Skills Active is one of New Zealand’s mandated industry training organisations. They support employers to formally train staff through NZQA qualifications. They had a highly custom and complex Salesforce setup that had been built by a number of different partners. The problem they had was an overly complex setup that was focused on code over business requirements and useability.
They engaged GravityLab to build automations focused on business outcomes with a low code basis. As Skills Active have an internal Salesforce team in place GravityLab’s role was to offer oversight and best-practice. Our goal is to empower the internal team to understand and create changes. This leads to better end results and a better ROI for the end client and more flexibility in future development options (less lock-in).
In addition, GravityLab developed their assessor and customer portals for 10,000+ trainees and assessors to log in to view resources and record results. This all links with an API connection to the Ministry of Education. It has an elegant identity verification process that checks RealMe, Passports and/or Visas.
“GravityLab have been providing us with expert development and configuration since 2016. They go the extra mile to ensure what they build is exactly what we need and interact seamlessly with our technical team on shared projects so we get solutions that we understand and can leverage further. In particular, the integration services they have created for us have been extremely valuable in saving our time and creating value for our customers.
The best part about working with GravityLab are the suggestions on improving solutions that we would not have thought of ourselves. They specialise in creating components that are reusable and we almost always wind up using something they have made for us for additional use cases than originally intended.
Easily the very best Salesforce vendor any of us have ever worked with.”
